Billy Bones knows about Silvers quest,
he still has a song to hum.
He must hide the map in a dead mans chest,
but his thoughts are buried in rum.
Long John Silver’s plan is clever,
though his pride is strong.
He is pushed more than ever,
re-election won’t be long.
In his shadow he may see,
his blood, his sweat, and toil.
You look at him and you see,
he can only bake and boil.
Though the void of a leg,
his job requires much.
You expect the aid of a peg,
but the aid, delivered through a crutch.
