Rose, oh bloody rose; you’re the life I grasp.
But why must you every time make me cry?
Every time your petals break from their clasp,
I feel like my soul is about to die.
Drawing my eyes down upon my locked hand,
I find it smothered with rich, flowing blood.
My pains, your thorns have torn through my white band,
My knees shake and I fall among the mud;
The pain, the pain, the throbbing, chronic pain!
The undeniable ache in my heart,
That I’ve lost something that helped me stay sane,
As my rose was shot down by a lone dart.
At that point, I fell on the floor and died,
You are my lifeline: forever entwined.
