A defiant aura of everything great
I can still see the light in you
And up on this rock I can view
The sunshine that still beams through your eyes

You're a lovely, intelligent, simple mind
A refined brilliance glows from your desperation
Your soul is tainted, but your words are golden
The sunshine still glows within

We'll never be better and we'll always be broken
But let that not head our friendship
I treasure our gleaming, amazing token
But no matter what, we'll always be broken
