• I sleep at night not knowing if I’ll wake.
    I can only hope that I will in the morning.
    I dream like the average person.
    I suffer from nightmares of the fearful sort.

    This past night I lied my head down and closed my eyes.
    I originally thought sweet thoughts.
    But to my surprise I found I was not in a dream but a nightmare.
    It was so terrifyingly real I thought I would die.

    The skeletal figure followed me slowly.
    And no matter where I hid from it, it found me quickly.
    I found myself on top of a building.
    The figure approaching slowly.
    I turned to see I was right on the edge.
    I thought there was only one way out.
    I turned around, closed my eyes and fell backward.
    Of course you think I would have woke up.
    But alas my body lies on bloodstained sheets.
