• Lightning and Thunder!

    Lightning is bright
    Lightning is bold
    Lightning is light
    Lightning is not cold.

    It comes from the clouds,
    From up above
    After it’s done,
    Then the thunder comes.

    Booming and bashing,
    Not so quietly thrashing
    An unstoppable rage,
    But we’re not done yet, just flip the page.

    They come two in one, one in two
    Once the lightning’s done,
    You hear a loud boom and you’re sure your friend thunder’s come
    And as you hear this, your ears pound, it’s just so loud.

    Then right as you think it’s over,
    There’s a flash of light,
    And that thunder
    Though this one’s over, the sound still hovers.

    Then the lights flicker and die
    And you realize,
    The lightning’s hit the power line!
    So let’s just sit in the dark

    We’ll play with the flashlight
    Maybe eat some snacks
    Camp out in the night
    Until daylight.

    Just remember
    This and you’ll be fine,
    Don’t get struck by lightning
    And don’t get struck by thunda!!
