One day I told my mother
I wanted to be just like Superman
I told her
I want that big "S" on my chest
She asked
"Well, what will you call yourself?"
Larry the Amazing-Super-Fantastic Man
I said with pride
She turned to me with a great big smile
And I didn't know what to expect
My mother laughed
"So shouldn't you have a big L on your forehead?"

Description:
Shel Silverstein was my favorite poet when I was a little girl. This was inspired by a long-term love for his work. It's pretty short, but every little thing counts.
