Regret
It attacks everyone
Subconsciously
Then it's like a wave
Unbearable
For girls, it's chocolate
for guys, it's cheating
It happens to all
Unbeknown to many
It breaks the weak
It cripples the strong
It flickers in the soul like a starlight
Then builds into a raging inferno
It gnaws on you like a toothache
Then, you lose your teeth
It's a dim anger
In the back of your mind
Then changes to a blind fury
And in your fit of rage
You become a ghost of your
Old self
Your loved one's hurt for you
You go to confront it
It knocks you down
Stabs you
A fountain of blood
Sprays out
As you slowly fall
You look up
And the last thing you see
Is the bright, ruby eyes of
Regret

- Title: Regret
- Artist: Arashi Erina
- Description: I did this in my Creative Writing Group. We had to use words we were given. We got one word and started writing, then stop randomly and get a new word, so it's a little random. All words that were given are underlined, including the title. I know that I'm a horrible poet, and I'm not quite sure why I'm entering this, but oh well. Remember that it's a metaphor!!!
