    Towards this ex-friend.

    But those words were lies,
    They didn't hold true,
    Even through everything I tried to do.

    I wish he'd see that I'm still here,

    It's his choice not to comprehend,
    These feelings that I am to send.

    A move so bold I dared to make,
    And then my heart began to shake.
    The words he said began to sink in me.
    This was all a misunderstanding.

    He said he'd never turn his back,
    And now I see that I was wrong.
    The words that I thought that were just lies,
    Turned out to be true within due time.
