• The goey sand between my toes
My hair flying backwards as the wind blows
The waves rise and fall leaving trails of foam
Like idle wanders not sure where to go

The salty air and sandcastles tall
The seashells and seagulls big and small
The swimmers, the surfers, the bikers, the dogs
The splashing and lauging heard all day long

Dolphins being spotted, coming up for a breath
Or for a lively jump, their destinations set
The sharks stay away, shallow waters filled
But only with the pelican's searching bills

The weather always warm, the sun shining down
The bright, gold object like a solid gold crown
It’s queen of the beach and queen of the skys
It’s bold and magnificent, with its rays shining high

Scuba and snorkling to the depths below
    Flippers swooshing nice and slow
The coral rocky, the seaweed thin
All the fishes and urchins that lie within

The sunburned tanners and fishers head in
beat by the sun, what a day it has been
seashell searchers and families close behind them
boogie boarders and surfers, finish their "swim"

The noise dies down as the sun begins to set
A beautiful picture I will never forget
I fell in love with that beautiful sight
And watched it fade to darkness night after night

When it’s pitch black, the bond fires roar
People gather ‘round as the fireworks soar
The tide rolls in as the seashells desend
Back into the ocean where their patterns start again
