He saw her by the road late at night
By a remote road all alone
He saw she had only a flashlight
No car to take her home
He turned around and stopped his car
He stopped and offered her a ride
She nodded and he opened the door
So she could get inside.
He gave her his jacket to fight off the chill
And inquired the place of her house
She told him, "On the North Street hill"
And once again became silent like a mouse
He dropped her off and she smiled
He drove off without a racket
When he arrived at home he realized
The girl still had his jacket
When in the morn he returned and asked for it back
Her parents broke out in tears
His eyes went wide and his jaw went slack
Their daughter was dead for two years
He arrived the cemetary to lay the truth bare
He stared dumbstruck at the sepulchral enclave
For in front of him, lying right there
Rested his jacket across the grave

- Title: Urban Legend
- Artist: NekoBot-01
- Description: It's a piece I wrote based off a well-known urban legend. I guess I felt like writing something of the creepy nature, so I figured, "Why not one of my favorite urban legends?"

- I never said that the urban legend was mine. This is just my take on it, a poem INSPIRED BY one of my favorite urban legends. Stop complaining and enjoy the poem.
