Tis but a simple task to call upon an angel, fair
One must study the rune stones diligently
One must trace mystic symbols in the air
Take up thy mantle of encompassing clarity
Chant the sacred ritual for night to hear
Meditate upon your truest desire
Embark on this mental quest without fear
Devotedly grasp, you must not tarry or tire
Cast the powder of fairy wings
Strike match upon the hearth
Melodic prayers fancifully sing
Carried beyond the crystal firth
Savory mantra in the moonlight bask
The seeds of lust have so been sewn
succeed in fulfilling this imperative task
And you might get an angel of your own

Here you already use less "difficult" words and I can see some of the spirit of the poem pronouncing itself stronger.
Still I like this poem a bit less, I think it's due to the theme.
I'm not going to rate this, because I'd value it less than I should simply because of the theme. But this has quite a good balance. - Report As Spam

- Parts of it seem to flow very well while other parts seem like they took effort. But over all not bad. The more I read of your newer stuff, the more Iike them. You are writing shorter poems too which help hold your readers' attention spans much better. This seems to have a bit of a sarcastic note about it which gives it a bit of a flavor. Without knowing you, it is a lovely piece almost hopeful. But after talking with you for a while it seems to me that it has more character. Good job.
