I wish I could understand it
Everything that life throws
It's game of catch gets harder
I want life to stop as I watch him go

I wonder if his choice was right
Or even if it was sane
For I can't stand to watch him go by
As he leaves me standing in the rain

He walks away without question
My heart telling me no
I know that if he does depart
I want life to stop as I watch him go

I still see his smiling face
Signs of worry still have yet faded
And I begin to wonder his new case
No wonder he is jaded

The game grows difficult
And I wish to end it's show
Yet I know what must happen
My life can't stop and I must go
