• Shadows dancing around me,
one comes before four the other past three.
They dance, they twirl, they start to come undone.
Playing around, they just want to have their fun.
But shadows, they all soon will begin to disapear.
Upon the sidewalks they shall soon smear.
They stretch out until you can't see their base.
No longer do they have a form, nor a face.
As the sunsets they will soon be gone.
They don't come back until it's past dawn.
I'm left alone in this cold pale moonlight,
with a weaker shadow all alone in the night.
They don't come to save me, and maybe I'm just too weak.
But I want so desperately to get these shadows off of my feet.
Free me from my hollow shackles!
Stop their never ending quakes and chackles.
I want to see myself be freed.
From our fake bonds that have no use or need.
Sever my shadows and free my soul.
Then bury them in ashes, smother them with coal.
End our lives, there's nothing to salvage left.
You can take it all away, I won't label it a theft.
Just take away these shadows, I can't stand to see them there.
Go ahead and murder it, see if I do care!
Goodbye to my ghosts, goodbye to my ghouls.
I'm not yours now, like all those other poor tools.
My shadow has ended with no doubt.
And that's because I was finally able to blow the sun out.
Like a candle in the sky or a great pit of fire.
It was all I ever wanted, my one true desire.
So free me from these shadows, show me the light.
I'll give you a smile and then call it a night.
