• Marooned on this small island,
    this small island at sea.
Afloat of wood and broken down,
I am as isolated as can be.

When the waves crash on me,
    roaring like a flood.
    Thirsting for my vessel,
    and grabbing for my blood.

A hundred reefs on the left,
and a thousand to the right.
But My sovereign Lord will protect me,
protect me from death in the night.

    Some entrust in false gods,
and the hopes of this Earth.
But I will trust the God,
the one that has granted me life since birth.

    Dying, alone at sea,
my body is limp and bare.
I just like to imagine heaven and God,
and wait until he takes me there.
