Day to night,
Night to day,
You and me,
Lust inbetween.
Loving you is my sin,
Faux ignorance is my redemption.
Not a day passes,
Without you on my mind.
I am Aphrodite's Pawn,
You are my Aphrodite.
Without you I am safe,
With you I am haunted.
Haunted not by dreams,
Haunted not by thoughts.
Haunted not by wishes,
But haunted by snakes.
They whisper in my ear,
"He will not return,"
"He does not care,"
"You will be lonely."
However, there you stand,
A smile from ear to ear.
I ignore the snakes
And curl to my owner.
Wise, I am not.
Stupid, I may be.
With you, I want to be forever.
However, alone is what I am.
