• Punk rock teen,
    Ruled by the machine,
    And everything in his eyes,
    Is not what it seems.

    He thinks he's right,
    He knows he's right,
    And everyone knows he's wrong.
But that's his teenage frame of mind,
    Till maturity settles in.
    When something goes wrong,
It's the end of the world,
    And he contemplates suicide again.
He's no emo, just a bit sad,
Because his crush thinks he's not her scene.

    He'll listen to some music,
Because it acts like a band aid,
And he'll go out with his friends on the binge.
It's cool to be in the eyes of the law,
It's cool to act like a dirty whore,
As he kisses every drunk girl in the street.

Insulting those who arn't like him,
Compensates for his lack of self esteem.
He'll only be home one day this week,
Cause no one at home understands.
    But they do understand.
    He'll find out in time.
Because they too, once had that teenage state of mind.
