• Speeding through the trees,
    Down the road we go.
    Around a bend,
    And the smell is there.
    Salty, wet, beautiful.
Suddenly, it’s here, in front of us.
    Blue as blue can be,
    Deep, dark, indescribable beauty.
As far as the eye can see,
    Is this blue, this water.
White sand marks its boundary here,
But beyond, there is nothing, only blue.
In the distance, a light mist covers over,
    Sky and sea meld,
Into the beautiful colors of the ocean.
