start yet as but an annoyance a grain of sand
though you will thiink i'm gorgeous later when i'm sitting in your hand
oh but that poor clam the one whosuffered to roll me, shine me , and create me
those long and endless hours of pain and frustration such a high and lofty fee.
But once done I shine so radiantly in the sun
Such beatuy simply cannot be shunned
Still what a bitter price man will pay
When i am brought from the ocean floor to the light of day
some men are murderously robbed
and i am stolen away
Some mens heads get lobbed
yet covered in dried blood i see another day
Still in piles of riches I will be
So that when men steal away they can see me.
And so their hearts I slowly steal from them
more so than any of the riches, even the infamous gem
those poor men however over me get slain
stabbed right through their hearts, so that i, another man gain.
then must i start anew this vicious game
and another man's heart i must tame
yet all the while wondering how i still glow
all the dried blood surely must on me show?
This game however must never end
For without them i would have not a friend
I cannot reframe to think, to say.
"Yes this will be the one to keep me for every day."
Yet we all know how this pearl's story goes.
Those Men all lay dead and only the red pearl knows.
