You come by when I least expect it and give it all you got
You come by anytime between nine and five o'clock
You turn the skies your shameful shade of gray
Then it's your time to come out and play
First you start with the sound of sliding chairs
Then comes, closely behind, your roaring of some bears
Finally your patting of tears flow across my window
Once you've done your job you decide it's time to go
You leave us wondering what to do when you leave so suddenly
What could you have later on turned out to be?
A devastation, a prayer, a quick hello/goodbye
Or maybe you'd leave some kid wanting to fly his kite
Either way you'll always leave us with some type of good news
Ocean back in tide, or flowers back in bloom
We could never be without you though we think you're such a pain
We all know we love you, our least expecting rain
