The rain slows
And the thunder now whispers,
Seeping into silence.
The clouds turn lighter,
But still cast a canopy of fluffy gray
Over my view above,
Shifting the color and mood
To a pleasant subtle gray hue.
It seems to impersonate
My feeling of
Composed sadness
A sadness I've vigorously grieved
But for too long to be strong
To be full of thunder
And tremendous blistering rains.
Too long I've looked for comfort
A sunny side
In this conflict
But with no success.
I've stopped trying
Stopped caring
Stopped crying.
Simply worn out
From restlessly searching
For hope.
The storm has passed
And now I'm a subtle gray
Array of clouds.
But something has caught my eyes
A tiny ray of sunlight
Escaping out
Of the freshly sun-kissed clouds
Growing larger and more scattered,
Soon piercing my eyes.
Perhaps it's mocking me
Mocking my laughable apathetic sadness.
But in a most spontaneous
Beneficial way
An uprising,
A Serendipity.
