Listen to the cracks
Feel the pop in your back
The empty hole in your stomach
Never going away
Look at your skin
The color is slowly fading
Just like your weight
It is sad fact of life
But for beauty
It's a price you need to pay
You're sick of yourself
And you hate what you see in the mirror
You go in a room
And puke in the corner
There goes a pound
Ready for another round?
Every single day
It gets harder to breathe
You can barely stay awake
It's getting harder for you to see
On animals, this is sad
On you, it's beautiful
This is the price you need to pay
To get what you want
To get your dream
Of being skinny
Weeks go by
As you continue to lie
By saying you're eating
When not even a little food went in that thing
You call a stomach
Take another look at yourself
Are you seriously putting beauty over health?
On the walkway as you reach for the crown
You fall down
The room is dead silent
As you gasp for what you feel is your last breath
Images repeat in your head
The last one you see
Is when you made that choice
The price you pay for beauty
Will only leave you dead
You wake up in a white bed
And there's a doctor
You smile and promise to start over
That is beauty
Just living life
Instead of trying to hide
