A smile is all it takes,
And we've had a conversation,
So delicate, so meaningful,
So forgotten in the blink of an eye,
But I blink twice for yes,
I blink twice for yes.
Holding hands never became more sinister,
And the flowers you left on the pillow,
They were in bloom two seasons ago,
All that's left is wilted and dead,
So you blinked once for no.
You blinked once for no.
Late September and I've woken up,
The long ago past lingers still,
It's the only thing we have in common,
All we once had has now been lost,
I still blinked twice for yes,
You blinked once for no.

Description:
A guy's name on youtube (blinktwice4y) inspired the context of this song, and because I'm completely on a dead patch I needed to write something to keep my sanity.
Please please please comment on this poem and if you can give me ideas for getting my inspiration back. - Date: 09/28/2009

That's actually not what I was thinking when I wrote this, but I can totally see where you got that idea from!
Everything I wrote seems to come from that idea of being stuck inside a body you can't control now.
That's the amazing thing about poetry I love. - Report As Spam

Wow, I suppose this was powerful to me in a very sinister way because we're discussing Euthanasia in a lot of detail in Religious Studies.
It made me think of how it would feel to be stuck in a body you cannot control and you're living out the sad metaphor of your eyes being the window to your soul, when every other window can't be prised open. - Report As Spam
