She lay in the sand
Holding a lonely look,
Face pointed upward toward the heavens
A sigh, a desperate, heartbreaking sigh that
Shattering even the strongest and bravest of hearts
Crisp auburn hair that gleamed beautifully against the soft golden sand
Palpable fingers stretched and the white palm faced down toward the earth
Like a sacred ritual that must be kept a secret
Unknown to world, a cocoon transforming to a sonorous butterfly
Silver eyes
Silver eyes that hold the answer to a million questions
Silver eyes that know the birth of the world
Ignorance, incompetence, imperfect
Such are the characteristics of men;
They are self-loathing creatures,
Greed consume them
They are the immortal slaves to their sickly pride
A hole never quenched
Their hearts as dry and remote as the Sahara Desert,
This enormous land of waste
Unfeeling like the sun hovering over the weak
Waiting for them to collapse with exhaustion
And defeat for the sake of their satisfaction
