• i see the world as it is
    what it was
    what it will be
denying me of happiness with its cloudy skies
    its frozen kiss
so for a moment i did but turn white
    let instinct guide me
let it trace my path into morning light
into arms of a shade of black
    with a steely cold grip
but a wildfire in her eyes
together we le our bodies twine
adding a new shade to the clouded skies
    a darkened shade of grey
then i felt a shade of green cross my eyes
a darkened shade once thought to be forgotten
i felt a finish of silver set in
cooling the bonfires against my skin
and soon i felt the fog begin to clear
    then i saw something new
it was not a shade of black
    but a shade of violet
    bright and clear
    bathed in a bloody light
and with that shade of green i felt a cold wind blow
together we created a new shade
a shade that matches the shade of green
    and that shade of blue
a shade of teal is born
    clean and pressed
    together we washed the violet
    made her squeaky clean
    minty and new
soon that shade of green and shade of violet began to weaves
breaking those shades of grey and making teal anew.
