• The snow-white fox stares me.
    I stare back.
We both continue to stand there,
Boring our eyes into each other.
    Then it runs,
Just runs into the forest of
    Tall evergreens behind it.
    I don't know why,
    But I follow it.
    I run past the trees
As their branches scrape my arms.
I am only in a T-shirt and sweatpants.
    I stop.
I know I will lose the fox,
    But I must ponder this.
    I am all around snow,
    Although, I only feel warmth.
    Should I not be freezing?
    Strange...
    I catch sight of movement
    Close to my left.
I forget what I had been
    Thinking before.
    I turn to my left
And break right into a fun
    Once more.
    I move so swiftly now,
    The branches no longer
    Digging into my skin.
I have finally caught up to the
    Beautiful animal.
I'm right up to it now.
I wonder what it would be like
    To stroke it's wonderful fur...
    I place my hand out,
About to place it on the animal's head,
    But then...
    I wake up.
