This Feeling

• Description: this sonnet is one of the first i've ever written... i found it challenging, so i don't have a clue how Shakespeare wrote so many... but anyways this poem is about my boyfriend. i was very good friends with him before we started going out, and i was always afraid to take a chance on the relationship because it could ruin our friendship, but i'm happy i took the chance. ^ ^

This Feeling

How is it? that this feeling now appeared
not so subtle, and so very profound
could it be? what i have most truly feared
I shrink back, as it begins to surround

it's happiness brings a smile to face
the giant risk troubles my love struck heart
the pain left fast with one single embrace
what will I do if our paths ever part?

can I stop it? make the happiness last?
I worry the worst, but hope for the best
will you just become part of my sad past?
or will you keep the heart beneath my chest?

I don’t know where life will take you and i
I hope it's together i mustn’t lie

I thought that was quite good, especially considering the fact you say it's one of your first sonnets. You did an excellent job.
