The Sky Has Clouds

• Description: Ok, this is actually pretty good considering there is almost- ALMOST- no rhyming. Usually, my non-rhymy stuff sucks so bad- like, "Leaping through the flowers, I saw a cat" and really bad stuff like that. I don't know why. Ah well. Decided "why not?" with this one. Be kind.

The sky has clouds that I can see
The birds can fly and I won’t mind
The sun can shine and I won’t cry
And trees can grow and I will laugh

When once my life was only dark
Without a single shard of light
Now the stars come out the play
And constellations greet the day

When once I only had bad dreams
Now I sing and sing again
My arms are open just for you
So we can dance and play for fun

It’s good to truly live again
To have a soul no longer lost
So there is light in what I see
And everything is bright again

The sky has clouds that I can see
The birds can fly and so can I
The sun can shine and dance with me
And trees will walk and talk with us.

Good job, for something outside of your expertise. Sometimes, the lines seem a little random, and the description is a little shallow, but it actually works: that's what your poem's about, a land of joy and laughter where we don't have to be concerned about those kinds of things. ^^
