I don't want roses and
I don't want pity
Don't want you to notice
Just take me to the city
Bright Lights
your smile
Your hand in mine
while we still have time
If this has to be the end
then
I want you to do something
I want a sunrise that
sparkles like your eyes
I want a sunset that
puts sweet dreams in my head
oh in my head
If you can't bring me the sun
When all is said and done
Then I want you to know
that
I'll still love you even if you
just send me a rainbow
I still love you even if you
just send me a rainbow

- Title: Send me a Rainbow
- Artist: Chocolat La Rose
-
Description:
A song about a young woman's last request to her lover one month before she dies.
Note: This is meant to be thought of a a song not read like a poem therefore, in order for the rhyming to truly work think about it as if someone were singing it. They would be holding some notes so that the rhyming would go together. - Date: 08/13/2010

- Bittersweet, but romantic. I like how the protagonist knows what she has to deal with and just wants to continue on living, leaves a good message. Well done, hope you put it to music.
