When he smiles I
switch bodies
with someone I've never met before.
He knows, but i haven't told him.
In the shadows of myself
that I tend to fall into,
he can pull me up
Bring the light
back to me
When he speaks
the sadness runs away
with nowhere to go.
His joy surrounds me
and the earth spins
backwards on its axis.
I know I'll never be
that person for him to
smile for
To him it's
nothing special.
But for now
I'll imagine I can be.

- Dear, we're all stereotypical some of the time! None of your feelings are ever stupid or pointless. As for the poem, I liked it a lot--especially the first three lines.
