The bright morning we first met, you and I,
I looked at you, not knowing of our fate.
If they be intertwined, in love or hate.
Though back then, I was but another guy
In the somber crowd. Through no fault of my
Own, and though it happened quickly and late,
I fell in love with you, and got a slate
Which we filled with sweet whispers, that belie
What you feel right now, though I still love thee
Dearly. These memories I harbour now,
Contain from my heart but a simple plea:
To feel the warmth of your love, and allow
These sweet sorrows to flow free from me
And vanish. Yet I must live on, but how?
