• what's wrong with the sky today?
    as gray and dismal as the world it covers
    where did the sun that gave us something to reach towards go?
    did it close its eye, blinded by the hatred living on in its audience?

    what's wrong with the sea today?
    as violent and chaotic as the world it holds
    where did the peaceful calm of the ocean evaporate to?
    did it grow sick from the blood that has spilled into its mouth?

    where did it all disappear to?
    did nature quit?
    fed up by her tenants constant disrespect
    fed up by what her beautiful world has become
    dying due to a self absorbed, bipedal disease
    spreading and growing, cancerous and deadly

    we have devolved from complacent, self sufficient animals
    into greedy, selfish fools
    we have over-analyzed our role in this machine
    crossed a line we had no right to cross
    and now our celestial landlady has left us out to dry
    left us to destroy, to decay and to die

    what's wrong with the world today?
    decaying flesh slapped onto miserable souls
    where did the simple balance of living go?
    did it close its door to the billions in the window greedily looking in?

    i dont know
    i only know that this life has lost the luster it once held
    rusted and tarnished by years of mistreatment

    so goodbye blue sky, goodbye blue sea
    i will not see you all again
    i will leave before it is too late
    and the traffic backs up on the road to eternity
    so disillusioned by our own intrinsic flaws
    we have destroyed what we took for granted

    i have done my part, and there is a price we all must pay
    so i will stand accused with the masses come judgment day
