Does it make me evil,
To perform evil deeds?
What's life to me?
What's left to see, and do?
The colours are gone,
There's too much green,
I wish I'd never seen.
You think me an enemy,
I'll do you no harm,
Just stay clam,
Till' you're embalmed,
With thoughts and dreams of sunny days,
Please don't dream your life away.
Honestly, I love you too,
Radiance has never shown such.
I'm positive that this won't last,
My heart resembles shattered glass,
So farewell sweet mistress,
There exists a multitude,
Inside which is a god amongst insects.
Confusion is a state of mind,
Don't think it unkind,
For you will find that it prolongs life,
Through it's spirals of doubt and fear,
Do you hear?
It's coming near and near and near.
To shriek into your ear.
Imagine if our entity,
Was false in its entirety,
Hear his laughter that makes no sound,
Feel the wind that isn't there.
Mentality is as true as we make it,
Reality is only man-made.
I'm standing in the presence,
Of luminescent springs,
The light runs downward,
Dismiss it if you like,
But hear its words,
For knowledge is power,
Only if it is kept.
Insight is not easily attained,
All the codes bring the screaming,
Frozen in sleep, drift away, drift away,
Perhaps you will return one day,
But who's to say,
For to this day,
Your minds still grey.
The beast's inhabitants enslaved,
Torture masked as pleasure,
As pleasure is of itself,
Ones who perceive,
Long to leave,
Other slaves will grieve,
For they cannot believe.
It is not shared,
Nor expected to be,
This thing called properly,
My eyes see your flaws,
And yours see mine,
Though "An eye for an eye,
Leaves the whole world blind."
The soul consists of merely a half,
Good and evil are its quarters,
Your the mother,
To it's brother,
Hang it from your heart,
It can never be taken,
Because it's who you are,
So many colours, not enough purple.

- Title: Thought Perception
- Artist: TheWatermelonTree
- Description: A poem I've created for a project in school. It's among my very few free verse poems. It's also pretty long, so I don't blame you if you don't finish it. Also, the quote in the ninth stanza was by Mahatma Gandhi.
