As I sit alone in this cage
I think of how I've become filled with rage
It was not the teasing, the laughter or the abuse
Although they have aided in that call from the noose
I was blinded for the King's own pleasure
Everyone calls me "a true treasure"
My feathers they have plucked and cut
Yet they still tell me to strut
Beauty and grace, they say are in ths place
And I feel ashamed to show my face
For in this place I do not belong
For now all I can do is sing my song
I will always sing for You
So You can know I will be true
Right now my song is rather quiet
No, I cannot deny it
But once You return, if You bring the key
My heart it will dance with glee
When The Cage Doors Open and we are free
We can fly away together just You, and Me
