One by one, white specks fall from the sky,
'It's snowing, it's snowing!' children go.
The ice cold wind slice through the day,
The sky turns dark and the flakes hurry to and fro!
One by one, the white specks was hurled by the wind,
'It's a snowstorm, it's a snowstorm!' the children shout.
Huddled beside the fireplace, old and young you may find,
under the warmth drinking hot choco without a doubt!
As the old retell the tale of the Holly King,
The flakes look in from the window sill.
Filled with envy, oh very much indeed,
Yearning and angered they beat on the glass!
One by one, the white specks banged on the glass,
' The Holly King is mad!' the children go.
As the children hid under the blankets,
The storm died down and it's time to go.
The first sprout of life spreads across the cold and dark,
'The Holly King is gone!' the children cheered.
Here comes the Oak king reigns,
Over Spring and Summer till Autumn and Winter.
One shall reign over the other of a never ending cycle.

Yay Holly King!
He gets so overlooked, but he is important. the Oak King as well. it's nice to see that people can remember them. - Report As Spam
