A luminescent amber star,
Atop an olive green tree,
Scarlet baubles,
Hung with glee.
A blond puppy
Whimpering in its hiding spot,
Is waiting for wide, azure-eyed children to happen upon it.
Twinkling pallid lights strung across the eaves,
Are in stark contrast to the hours of darkness.
The taupe gray soot flew in a cloud of ashy smoke,
And the behind the crimson bricks of the chimney,
Came out a jolly, corpulent man
In a burgundy suit.
