Speak, but don’t Pretend,
That you’re my Friend,
Because that’s already at an End,
It’s no Surprise,
I’m done with your Lies,
I’m only here to cut our Ties,
That mask you’ve been hiding is already Well Known,
I’d rather be Alone,
Then believe that you’re here to Atone,
I’m Sick of You,
Appearing out of the Blue,
Expecting me to believe your words are True,
I will never be Free,
If you don’t leave me Be,
For once, cant we simply Agree?
What do you Want?
Are you here to Flaunt?
Or is your purpose to Taunt?
I’m aware of your Thirst,
You’ve already done your Worst,
How could you possibly expect me to Burst?
I already got you Penned,
Don’t even think that I’ll ever Intend,
To go back to being your Best Friend.

- Title: Best Friend
- Artist: Shade of Betsalel
- Description: This is a poem I wrote in my writing class. It was inspired by the person who was supposed to be my best friend, someone I knew, thought I could trust and hung out with since I was in the first grade (College Students now).
