• I want you to see me naked.
    Not undressed,
    Exposed,
    With a lack of clothes,
    In an unnaturally suggestive pose,
With such infinite beauty that I never did once possess.

    But rather,
    In heart and soul,
    We could share it all,
    Whether big or small.
    We’d open our thoughts,
    The lot,
Such things that may or may not,
    Leave others distraught.

    Despite the risks,
    The twists and falls,
My heart yearns for a friend.

    We share the same mind,
    The same line of ideas.
But above all, we share ambitions.

    The dreams, it seems,
    They gleam in between-
The places where yours meet mine,
    And we’d find in time,
    As things fall into line,
A sign so fine that says-
    We were meant to be.

    A kingdom that’s right
    For us is in sight,
And the population ends at you and I.

    I still dream,
    Of a fairytale scene,
    With you as King,
    And I as queen.
And I see it’s in reach,
If we each play our parts.
    But against all fate,
There’s a shame on our hearts.

    From the start,
    We were born far apart,
And the difference in years is just enough to frown,
As I lay down - at your side.
    I’ll never wear your crown,
    And you’d never wear mine
