RedMage89 Indigo Project Undakai Indigo Project RedMage89 That video makes D&D look so bad... I dunno. The people who got the biggest kick out of it all seemed to be D&D players. most definately... seriously, the line "I attack the darkness" is litterally famous amoung D&Ders...along with the phrase "Red Mageing". I remember at one of our D&D club meetings we all gathered around the computer to watch that video. Seriously, the DM was annoyed at us because we kept quoting it the whole session. rofl Of course, we were also all hopped up on cookies and Mountain Dew at the time (my fault). *Notes he should start saying 'I attack the darkness' more.* Define how you use 'Red Mageing' as a phrase. Is it to claim to be so versatile you beat every challenge easily? P1: "I cast Magic Missile!" P2: "I'm so versatile I dodged it."
The best description though for a Red Mage character is a character that has dozens of minor flaws, such as maybe slightly deaf or a little clumsy or unlucky or that he has a fear of somesort...usually things that have minimal effect but still give character points, which are then used to boost up ones character. Some games, such as "Dead Lands" have fought against this by limiting the amount of flaws one can take in the beginning of the game. |

Of course. Red Mage refered to this aspect of himself in one of the early strips. He called it 'Min/Maxing'. He also said Min/Maxers bear the burden of a low Charisma score. |
