I have a friend who has autism. You can't really tell though if you met him on the street.
7 months old, what a good age. You can get away with anything and if you're older you'll get screamed at.

Don't take it the wrong way, I love my brother to pieces, and wouldn't have him any other way. But I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what we do. sweatdrop

I know, depeneding on a persons level, they can be a really big handful and require lots of time, energy and sometimes money.

He's mildly autistic, but its still hard. Especially because you wouldn't think hes autistic at first glance, so people often overestimate him, and often he wouldn't get enough help from the aids at his school.
Also, sorry for taking so long to post, I had to do some chores.

Yeah, my friend has that same problem, people think he's a brat or spoiled.

It annoys me when people don't believe me when I tell them my brother's autistic because it's so mild. But what gets me the most is when I go to workshops with my mom (my mom works for Autism Calgary Association) and the people there treat me in an extremely patronizing and demeaning manor, even when my mom makes it extremely clear that I do not have autism, or any other mental disability. It not only proves that they assume that if you're there, that you have a mental handicap, but also that they treat everyone with a mental handicap in a patronizing way, and treat them all the same. ><

sweatdrop you wouldn't BELIEVE how much we're getting done. BESIDES my usual "take care of things AT the office" between throwing things away and stuffing boxes. xp
