In some guilds, the welcome thread is where new people usually make their first post...maybe she just ...assumed it's the same here? As for why it's not locked, I'm not sure...probably just didn't occur to anyone to lock it. *shrug*

It confuzzles me greatly. There's no real reason that people can't post there, but there's no cause for them to... Maybe I'm just tired...
@Ala — But it says in the first post that that should be done in a different thread...

Maybe I'm just tired... @Ala — But it says in the first post that that should be done in a different thread... Well, then I'd say she probably didn't read the thread...just saw "Welcome" and decided to say hello. As for why they shouldn't post there...well, I personally just think it looks better without extra posts and besides that, they're supposed to make their introductions in the seperate thread for them...and I don't see what else they'd have to discuss in there... confused

Those are reasons to for posting in a different thread, but not really reasons against posting in that one... Is that possible?
Anyway, Erius changed it...

Well...the welcome thread is more like a doormat and a sheet of paper pinned to the door. The real action should happen inside...and not on the mat...or something =P

Well, how about ...keeping it looking clean and less cluttered as a reason for posting not being allowed in that thread?
