Yeah, that's pretty much what they're trying to do, but that's not what they're doing. Or should it be "that's what they're doing, but that's not what they're trying to do"?

It's like a world power to me. A dictatorship.
They are the one true God in control of all religions and ... everything.
I think it's better to have seperate countries and powers in the world. To give one person to much power is fatal.

I can see where you can get the word cult from. At first glance it does look a bit wishy washy "let's all hold hands and sing our kumbayahs"-ish.
I don't think that you can combine all religions into one though. Not really. There may be a lot of parallels in different religions in but they way they interpret these different concepts is part of what makes them different too... So isn't this just another interpretation? Eh, my brain is broken today.
I do agree that religion is a big source of conflict in the world. Or at least, religious fundamentalism.

@Inmate — It may just be because I'm tired, but you aren't making any sense to me. You don't like religion because you think the idea of a monotheism is synonymous with a dictator on a power trip? What about polytheism or animism? Humanism?

No not really I just hate religion pushers that impale you and say the only way to survive is to convert to what they believe.
I'm just the type of person that hates to be tied down and told what to do. You tell me something I don't like it you push it I get nasty.
If someone doesn't want to belong to a religion why should they? These people are trying to convert everyone, why?
