It's set in Puerto Rico, and the lead character is Yenny Lopez, an early-20-something (she's 20 or 21 when the strip begins) who wants to be a model. (Though she has elephantine feet...) It's beautifully drawn, and reasonably funny. (The artist is doing the Looney Tunes comics for DC, too.) http://yennylopez.com/
