I like what they did with Yahiko in the movie epilogue of the anime, but I don't know what his character is like in the manga. Let alone the part of the manga you're reading...

Heh, the "reverse blade" sword... I think it's funny how that's supposed to symbolize his devotion to non-lethal combat when, in the hands of a skilled swordsman, a wooden sword is still just as deadly as an edged weapon. xd
