I'm trying to teach myself how to knit. D: The first step is called 'casting on' but I can't figure out how to do it. I found a site with videos but they either don't explain it or don't use language that a small, stupid child would be able to understand so I'm stuck sitting here going '...what.'

Herefore is the avi for aretoo!  i know I wouldn't be able to knit even if I tried... I might somehow magically stab myself in the eye with the knitting needles which SHOULD be impossible to do while trying to knit

My grandma tried to teach me crochet ages back, when I was a wee kiddy, but it never caught on.
