Kals is questing again!Uh we hadn't heard of them out here until around 1990 when Prince George got its first Timmy's. Didn't even know they existed. Didn't even know Tim Horton's existed, there wasn't one in any nearby city, and we never saw one in Cranbrook or Golden or Jasper or even Calgary or Edmonton until 88 or 89. Check sig for details!

Kals is questing again!I don't think I've ever even SEEN a dunkin donuts. Never seen a krispy kreme either but they made a huge deal about the first one that opened in Calgary. I just haven't been to that part of the city yet.
I think it's a shame that Tim's got so huge and started making their dough at a factory and shipping it out frozen, the donuts were so much yummier when they were made fresh on site. Check sig for details!

Well, that makes sense, then. x3 My hometown didn't get a Tim's 'til I was in grade 12 (I worked there the day it opened), but I'd been to enough other places to be familiar with the chain. And I've never seen Dunkin Donuts, either. =s Or Krispy Kreme. We have Tims, and some places have Robins.

I don't recall ever eating Dunkin Donuts. I probably have but don't remember. Krispy Kream is awsome though. We have a few of those scattered about where I live.

razz It sure caught on in Nova Scotia. Crazy mad love for Tims there.
I personally don't think the coffee is all that good, and I don't like baked goods, so there really isn't a lot that appeals except for the ice caps.

Kals is questing again!Oh yeah, everyone out here is bonkers for Timmies, but like I said, the donuts aren't as good as they used to be now that they make them in a factory and ship them frozen instead of making them fresh on site. The soups are made from a packaged base, too, they're not very good. I like Quizno's soups better, the broccoli and cheddar soup there has crack in it or something, it's soooo addictive!
I like Timmie's coffee better than McCrapp'n'puke's coffee, and I also like it better than Starbucks or Second Cup. Actually it's about my favourite coffe, but I like to get it from the Esso by my house where it's self serve, I'll pretend I'm making a double-double, but I'll use an XL cup and use the L settings for cream and sugar. It's slightly more cream and sugar than using singles but less than using the proper sized "doses". Yeah I'm weird.
@umi: yeah people used to be like that over Tim's doughnuts, back in the day. Now they are usually about as good as supermarket doughnuts. Check sig for details!
