Yeah I love it, it's a HUGE upgrade from what I have now.
Current desktop:
2.4ghz P4
512mb RAM
Intel Integrated Graphics Card
USB 1.1 gonk gonk gonk
DVD-ROM drive
40gig HDD
New desktop:
2.3ghz AMD Business Class x64
2 gigs RAM
Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT (alot better than the intel integrated)
USB 2.0 xd
Blu-Ray ROM and DVD-R
80 gig HDD

Are they mking you take Vista with it, or do you get to stay with obsolete XP for a while?

Well we got 4 new upgrade PC's and I took the best one of course. I got one and my IT manager is getting one. The PC's we're using now is going out into the shop for the Maintenance dept. and the Weld shop.

Kalstolyn Are they mking you take Vista with it, or do you get to stay with obsolete XP for a while? XP unfortunately...but I don't mind it. They still haven't cleared SP3 for all users at my job. gonk But I'm IT so I get to "test" it ninja .

I <3 my XP. I don't hate Vista the way a lot of people do, but since a new OS is on the way, why bother with Vista? It may end up being a new Windows ME.

Vista is intended to be the new Windows 95 or ME. It's the one that forces hardware and software manufacturers to start programming things the way Microsoft wants them programmed, and the bridge to a standard 64-bit environment.
