I agree with Eien. The dragon pixel art is very much 16-bit gaming inspired.

But... the old-school RPGs were in the 16-bit gaming era. :/
Plus GIFs only have 8-bit colour, or uses a custom palette.

EDIT: I don't know about the SNES but PS1 was 32-bit, unlike the N64 which was, well, 64-bit.

That makes more sense. It would be weird for them to make a 32-bit system when the SNES was already 32-bit.
