I've been having a number of problems lately. Main one being that Windows is doing everything in its power to remove me from power with this computer. It's shut me out of the administrative account and safe mode, and now it's shut me out of the Automated Recovery Tool. I have a "Data Execution Prevention" prompt popping up and ending the explorer.exe process, then it just keeps retarting explorer.exe and the prompt will pop up again, no matter how many times I do it. It shut me out of my main account on the computer, and I had to fight to create another account on this computer to use. I asked someone about it, and they said that I have to format and reinstall, but the problem with that is, I have no floppy drive, so if I reinstall, I may not be able to get my drivers for my chipset, my graphics card, my ethernet port, or anything else put back on this computer. I figured I'd try to just upgrade to XP sp3 but it's not copying one of the system files during installation, and I don't want to skip the file during installation due to the fact that I don't know what it does, so it may mess up my computer even more if I do.
Help please;_;

...damn. I'd suggest takin' that one to the tech forum, Pancake. Y'might've accidentally had a program file get corrupted/deleted or something.

We got one of ours reformatted without the driver software for the video card and it worked just fine without it.-La Belle Isolde-
