Actually, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm not afraid of death, I'm just afraid of the pain that may come with it. I don't like pain, believe it or not.

That's understandable, to not like pain. There's thousands, perhaps millions who can't stand pain.

Really, it's the opposite for me. I'm fairly tolerant when it comes to pain; I'm just afraid to die because what bothers me about is that I may not accomplish what I want in life when it comes time for me to go. Dying young is a horrible fear I have. I realize when the time does come, I'll just have to suck it up and enjoy whatever is given to me on the other side.

I only hope that I am reincarnated immediately and won't have to wait in line in whatever place souls go.

I'm not saying that I'm intolerant to pain... I'm just saying I don't like it. Hell, last November I'm pretty sure I broke at least 2 of my ribs in a car accident. I got a concussion, broke my toe, dislocated my shoulder, sprained the rest of my arm, hurt both my knees, and strained my ankle (I'm pretty sure about most of that) and I walked out of the car laughing my a** off. Then again, I'm still get slight twinges of pain from time to time in those areas due to the fact that I wasn't able to go to the hospital to get it checked out due to the fact that I'm poor and I don't have insurance. Hell, the last thing I remember before the car accident was thinking "********, this is going to hurt..."

EDIT: Be back in about 5-10 minutes, I gotta go to the bathroom then I'm taking a smoke break.

I've never been in a serious accident before; the worst was when the truck I was in spun around a couple of times in the middle of an intersection. I only got a cut on my leg; I was more startled than anything and worried more about my dad than anyone. Funny; my parents are always telling me I'm greedy and self-centered.

The last accident I was in, I remember looking over at my aunt, who was driving, and talking to her. It was like I wasn't even in my own body for that split second we were rear-ended. I just remember seeing her head snap forward and a startled cry from my cousin in the back seat.

Ha, then, I definitely understand not liking pain.

Oh, you never seen the pictures of the car accident I was in, I'm guessing. I wish it were just a quick spin or getting rear ended (I know that sometimes rear ending can be pretty bad though, what with the chance at getting whiplash or something) but I wasn't so lucky as to have something small happen. Basically, my friend lost consciousness at the wheel, we drove a quarter mile through a field or something full speed, then rammed head on through two trees, one of them close to a foot thick, and shattered both to splinters where we hit them. Then, I'm pretty sure we rolled the jeep we were in a few times, because we went in facing one direction and ended up facing the complete opposite way, and there were some pretty deep gashes in the dirt, but I never took pictures of them. The gallery of pictures can be found on my facebook, I don't think you need to be my friend on there to see them. My friend's head went through his window and he was bleeding pretty bad, but he still gets a good laugh out of remembering what he can of what happened. As for me, I was conscious during the majority of the accident. After we plowed through the first tree, I hit my head on the dash, then the airbag deployed and threw my head back into the hard piece of plastic right next to the door, the airbag applied to much pressure to my ribcage, which caused the damage to that. After hitting my head on the hard piece of plastic when the airbag threw it back, I slowly faded out of consciousness, but I remember a very painful jerk forward just before going out, which would have been the second tree. I was knocked out between 15-30 minutes. When I came too, I made sure my friend was alright before getting out of what was left of the jeep and laughing so hard that I fell down... Twas a marvelous time...

My God. That's truly incredible that you walked out of that alive.

EDIT: I have to be your friend to view anything related to your profile, fyi.

Well, I suppose just send me a friend request and I'll add ya. You don't have to worry about me coming to get you. I don't even have enough money to go to the hospital get a physical or checkup done, so I'd never have the money to go to a different state. Not until about midway through summer that is, and that's only because a friend is supposed to be flying me out somewhere to hang out.

EDIT: Essentially, the jeep went from:

in a matter of seconds.

Car accidents are so much fun!
Although the worst I got from mine was shock and a few cuts.
Colin could have easily died if the air bags deployed.

I remember you talking about the car accident some time last year.
You could also be getting phantom pain. If you break a bone it still hurts for around a year. Just random times of pain.

I have never been in an accident but came close quite a few times because people in the country don't know how to drive.

Uuuuugh...
I hate program installations that take a year to complete and bog down your computer to stone age calculator speeds while they're at it...

I feel your pain, Erius... I've had many an application that did that to my poor little computer.

*Adobe CS comes to mind, in addition to some MMOs*
