Well... I never thought of any fonts as "humanist", to begin with. ^_^
Oh... I like Bauhaus, too, and anything with an Art Deco flavor. ^_^

Ooooh... Bauhaus and Art Deco are very nice, though I have slight qualms with Bauhaus as a movement in general. It was very necessary to have it since it stepping stones a lot of the things now, but it's generally a very sterile, and way too strict look.
...Oh! There's a font called Bauhaus? *looks for it*

RE: Fonts — Humanist (Venetian) is a typography term that refers to mid-15th century fonts based on the lighter and more open types used by humanist writers. As opposed to Blackletter fonts based on Old English/Fraktur/Block/Gothic...
Anyway, I'll use serif fonts if they work better, but on a whole I prefer sans serif.

The midget porn? O.o
I tend to limit my Sans usage to digital mediums and websites, especially websites tailoring to technology or fashion or something of the sort. It exudes a certain elitist/forward jenesaisquoi. At least I think so.
Edit: You're in good company, aretoo; we are, after all, talking about fonts here.

I should get a new hard disk soon! This speed is nice, but these bitmap fonts are driving me nuts! D:
Their blocky and ugly aliased edges...

Sentama Lin I should get a new hard disk soon! This speed is nice, but these bitmap fonts are driving me nuts! D: Their blocky and ugly aliased edges... *shudder* I can't STAND Courier or Monaco... especially the older ones before smoothing... xp

Courier and Monaco are a bit irritating, even with smoothing.
Speaking of non-smoothed fonts, I am reminded of Macintosh System 7, where my fondest gaming memories lie.

Ooooooh... That's a really nice modern font. A bit sterile, but I can see its trendy usages.
@Aretoo: System 7 is still one of my favourites, and I have a Mac OS 8 full install somewhere around this house, and System 7 on an emulator on my DS.
